There is something different about a cattle sale in the Whitsundays. It’s where the cattle industry meets a landscape better known for turquoise waters, tropical islands and holidaymakers. But every October, the cattle trucks roll in, the Proserpine Showgrounds come alive and some of Queensland’s leading Brahman breeders, buyers and industry professionals head to the Whitsundays for an event that has quickly become an important date on the annual Brahman sale calendar.

The Great Northern Brahman Sale continues to see growth year on year, with a total of 159 lots offered in 2025 achieving a total sale clearance of 98.7%.
